Welcome

Spring Break at Oasis Cancun

Spring break has been an annual ritual in the United States ever since Connie Francis sang "Where The Boys Are" in 1960 for the movie with the same name. The movie put St. Lauderdale, FL on the map by popularizing a migration of college students to the south Florida area and their stories.

Evidently that seemed like a good idea because the trek of students increased in volume each year until today there is an avalanche, and the destinations have multiplied as well. Students know a good idea when they see one.

STS Travel has been one of the prime influences in the movement as well, having been formed in 1984 by two Colgate University graduates, and since that time 30 years ago, has been responsible for sending over half a million students on their merry way to spring break.

The students like to go to lots of other places too, such as the Dominican Republic, Daytona Beach, Panama City Beach, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, Las Vegas, and the Bahamas (mostly Atlantis).

STS is well known for being able to book special deals and group packages for the students, as that is their specialty. The have over 1,000 representatives on campuses all over the US.

One such resort that is somewhat typical of the level of accommodation that STS strives to make available is Oasis Cancun. Located at one of the world's most elegant resort areas, Oasis stretches along a white, sandy beach for over a half mile, while their swimming pool spans over a quarter of a mile. The use every inch of the pool area during the day with parties, contests, and it being a great place to gather.

The hotel has over 1,000 rooms, each with a king-sized, or two double beds. There are 10 restaurants and 10 bars on the property, as since the entire booking is all-inclusive, the students enjoy all they can eat and drink all the time. The liquor is American brands only, and the house wine.

Also included are the other benefits such as the spa, the fitness center and gym, water sports such as windsurfing, snorkeling, and swimming. Everyone should take at least a morning and let everything go as you can take a mind and body treatment that will last the rest of your trip.

STS also has had great success in putting together packages as the one through Oasis. This a party package that gives participants big discounts at the hottest clubs in town as well as not having to wait in line with all of the other people. The Oasis is one of the first resorts in Cancun to sell out for the season.

There is no letting up as far as the espirt d'Cour and energy that surrounds the yearly migration of the college crowd to the various destinations. The get about 10 days, so having a professional firm such as STS to book their trip is a great help for all the traveling students.
